Jay Anderson is the Director of Global Public Sector at WordPress VIP, where he leads the Public Sector go-to-market strategy. He works closely with government agencies to modernize digital experiences through secure, scalable, and compliant platforms that improve accessibility, constituent engagement, and mission delivery.  

Jay brings deep expertise in public sector AI, big data & analytics, cybersecurity and enterprise technology, having spent more than 20 years helping government agencies navigate evolving security requirements, compliance mandates, and modernization initiatives. His background spans Federal Civilian, Defense, Intelligence, and SLED markets, with extensive experience aligning technology solutions to complex procurement environments and government mission outcomes.

Prior to WordPress VIP, Jay held senior leadership roles at SolarWinds, OPSWAT and TD SYNNEX supporting public sector cybersecurity initiatives focused on protecting critical infrastructure. While at SolarWinds, he played a critical role in rebuilding and restoring the Federal public sector business following the 2020 “Sunburst” cyberattack incident. During a period of heightened scrutiny and industry disruption, he helped create the “Secure by Design” focus on supply chain initiative, re-establish trust with Federal customers and partners, repositioned the organization’s public sector engagement strategy, and rebuilt pipeline momentum across civilian and defense agencies.
